It's a good place, but when the fine folks of Brinker decided to place a store in Greenville, they underestimated the local appetitte for good franchise restaurants.
Chili's of Greenville is a toned-down version of the big city stores. There is less seating, and that seating seems to be tighter. Many of the food offerings are noticably absent from the menu, particularily my favorite - Spinach Salad.
Service is pretty good. They've done the best they can to train the locals to perform to franchise standards. This is important because Greenville is not a town known for its industrial hospitality.
Because of the popularity of the chain and its relative size, wait times can be excruciating at peak hours. The single patron & couple can find some solace in the bar while they wait. |

The inside is always cold. I asked the waiter why and she said "If it is too warm in here, the floor sweats and gets slick since it was not sealed."
It is not comfortable eating because it is so cold.
Rockwall Chili here I come! |

On a whole Chili's aren't that bad. However I will NEVER eat at the one in Greenville again. It may have only been a case of some upset worker, but it's turned me off from them.
Our work orders out a lot. Most of us ordered the Tortilla Soup, however, one of the soups had a bit something extra in it. Someone had spit out their gum in the soup.
I just haven't had the will to eat there again. |
