Great music, great food, great ale Apr 17th, 2002
Aidan's in Bristol is one of those great local pubs you don't often find anymore. While its small size can make it tough to get a seat at times - it adds to the atmosphere (they open up the patio in the summer). Local musician Mike Carroll and others provide live entertainment on the weekend.
Good music and great ales on tap - what more could you want?

Delicious food in an authentic pub atmosphere Dec 3rd, 1999
A small, but lively pub, Aidan's serves both traditional Irish fare like bangers and mash along with more usual dishes like burgers. We've been there for both lunch and dinner, and have yet to be disappointed. The food arrives fresh and quickly. For lunch, try the corned beef sandwich. No thin deli meat here, just thick slices of real corned beef on hearty bread with or without spicy mustard. The shephard's pie is genuine comfort food topped with real mashed potatoes that are worth eating just on their own.

Due to the small size, however, the pub fills up fast, especially on the weekends - so head there a little before usual dining hours to beat the crowd or make a reservation if you have a large (more than 4) party. Friday nights are expecially busy as they play live Irish music in the bar. Prices are very reasonable, lunch will run about $12 for two, dinner a few dollars more, depending on how much Guiness you drink. About the only complaint is because of the close quarters, if there are a few smokers at the bar, it can be detected throughout the restaurant.
