The menu is extensive and there are many daily specials. One of my favorites is the escargot with macadamea nuts and currents. Charlie Aboud, the owner, is also the head chef. Charlie took over from his mom & dad several years ago and the food is still great. It is only 30 minutes from Reno. |

Adele's is the best restaurant I have ever been in. My wife and I live in Las Vegas, and we make it a point when we leave for the summer, the first stop is Adele's. Adele is not usually there any more, but Charlie is, keeping the kitchen producing wonderful food! I recommend it for anyone!! Enjoy. |

Adele's was without a doubt some of the best food I've ever eaten. All four of us agreed that there wasn't one thing we would change or improve on. The crab cakes are prize winning, the escargot was tender and perfectly seasoned.
My husband is not a big salad eater, but he raved about the spinach salad and not only finished his, but also half of mine. The portions are very generous for fine dining, unlike what you usually get for such delicious food.
I had a filet mignon stuffed with crab that came with unusually good mashed potatoes and vegetables. I can't even describe how great it was. The ones who ordered veal said it was the best they ever had. The sourdough bread with olive oil was so fresh and tasty we were even dipping it in the sauces for the escargot and crab cakes, they serve you 2 kinds (one had gorgonzola and goat cheese..yum). One of us had to have low sodium and they cooked his meal perfectly and even brought the capers on the side, as they are salty.
If there was any negatives at all, it would be that we were too full to try the awesome looking cheesecake we saw at the table next to us...we also heard they have the BEST creme brulee'. Next time I'll save room for desert, because we WILL be going back for more! |

Adele's Restaurant is probably Carson City's finest. From the moment you enter the historical building, it's decor will set the atmosphere that takes you to the 1800's of the old Carson City, NV. It's antiques, photographs, paintings and the like, will keep you occupied, which is hard to do when your smiling, friendly staff invites you to enjoy a cocktail to start your evening at the small bar or lounge that's separate from the dining area, although you may dine in the lounge if you wish. While you're waiting for your reservation and drinking your cocktail, sample their mouth-watering crab cakes because they are the best. There's a variety oF appetizers to savour prior to being seated in the old atmosphere that adorns the dining room as well. Once escorted to the dining area, their menu will keep you busy also because there isn't one thing on that menu that you won't want to order. You've heard about steak & lobster that can be cut with a fork? At Adele's, the Fillet Mignon & Lobster will allow you to do just that! I have cut into them both with a fork only and the flavor was delectible, not to mention mouth-watering. Every item on the menu is just as delicious as the next. The desserts are scrumptuous, and each course is served with so much professional style that it's a dining experience you'll be back to enjoy again. This local's favorite is relaxed and take your time to experience each course they serve. Dress nicely. You won't regret it. You'll find the little extra cost to experience fine dining there well worth it. I guarantee it. Be sure to ask one of the great staff, or Adele herself as she's usually there, about the old "BAR" sign on the outside of the building. It does have a story and if put to a vote, I'd vote NO about removing it. You'll have to hear that story to understand. While you're at it, ask about the history of this old building, which was once a home back in the old days. It will fascinate you. Anyway, make it a point to enjoy dining at it's finest and ENJOY! Thank you, Adele's Restaurant, for such a wonderful place to dine.

Don't miss this great little dining experience in Carson City, NV. Lord knows, that aside from the silver mines and brothels, there's no real reason to visit the Capital of Nevada... unless it's to eat GREAT food. Try Adele's. |
