A cut above standard American bar food in a brew pub environment. Despite the brew pub aspect the place is family friendly at least in the earlier evening hours. Later at night the bar area is quite packed with a young crowd. They feature live music at least ocassionally on weekend evenings.

I think the beer was cheap, but it stunk. The food was, okay, I guess, but the beer was bad! |

This brewpub developed quite a scene that the superior Capitol City Brewing Co. down the street never did and was forced to close. Despite the snobbish crowds, the beer is truly some of the worst ever. Micro brewing should be a labour of love, but it appears that this place is just in it for the money. Oddly, people drink the beer anyway, but I'd sooner drink natural light in cans than the stuff they serve. Food is good, although I was put off by an ammonia taste in the black beans. I will not be returning to Rock Bottom. |

Getting beer this bad at a brew pub just offends me. The food is actually pretty good. If they'd stop brewing their own I might even return but as it is I can't bring myself to spend money there. If you want good beer in Bethesda find out what Hard Times or Montgomery's Grill has on tap. |
