Locally owned bar and restaurant, AJ Wingers is reportedly the only bar on campus owned by alumni. Known as a live music venue with a variety of food to choose from, the wings are what people come back for. Currently closed for remodeling.

As a Purdue Alum, I have spent numberous hours eating the various food that Wingers has to offer. Personally, I think their wings are far superior to Hooters, and give BW3's a serious run for their money. For Chix sandwiches, Wingers is hands down the best - especially buffalo chix. I've only had the burgers a couple times, and they too were quite tasty. I've always been greeted by friendly staff, and I've never waited more than 10 minutes for food - something that can't be said of my trips to BW3's. If they had a little more room, and a couple bigger tv's, I think they'd be a serious contender for popular campus bar/grill. |

AJ Wingers is a restaurant turned bar/grill. The food overall is surprisingly good, especially the burgers. I really think that they have one of the best burgers in town. The dining/bar area is quite small. There are probably about eight booths that sit about six to eight people, and four tables that sit four people. The décor is the usual bar/grill décor with multiple beer signs. Finally, while half of the staff actually add to the establishment, the other half actually take something away. There are a few people that just don't seem to know what they are doing, if you go in when they are there, it might be in your best interest to leave. If you're lucky you'll be there on a day when Mike works. |

I was there on Friday for dinner and had one of the best burgers I have ever had, however I was settling for the burger after the server informed me that they were out of my first 2 choices. The sever was very polite and embarassed about it, then I noticed the mgr, and I now know why they were out of the stuff I wanted. When this place started to get busy, instead of helping he countinued to sit there and play a video game machine. I am unsure if I would give this place another try, if I saw a under new ownership sign I'm sure I would. |
