There is so much talk about this rest. I had to see for my self and now I understand why people are talking. The abiance was wonderful I felt like I was back in New York. Dark mahagony walls and best of all a grabpiano with an entertainer. We don't get that much anymore without having to spend a fortune going out. the prices were more than resanable. And the food and service inpecable please give this palce a try. There is a reason why their walls a covered in awards! |

Benedetto's did prove why they were selected by Florida Trend Magazine as one of Florida's top restaurants. Family owned by Chef Ben Pumo and his lovely wife Liz, the food and wait staff were superb. In addition to the dinner menu, Chef Ben's seafood specialty creation was wonderful. My wife had sea bass that was cooked to perfection topped with a special light sauce, jumbo lump crabmeat and jumbo gulf-pink shrimp, side pasta(our choice) and caeser salad. I had a 32oz ossobucco. This was by far one of the best I have had.
Since it was our 31st anniversary it was nice to have a drink at their cozy bar area and with dinner a very nice wine from their proven wine list. Oh yes, now I must mention dessert!! Beware, you will want more and more. Most homemade, there was a fine selection. After our meal we could only share a piece napoleon and a ganoli. If you travel to Tampa/Busch Gardens area, take an xtra few minutes north to Benedetto's in Land o Lakes and this place will be your special get away. The setting and the music from the grand piano were magnificent as is the food and wait staff . Owner/Chef Ben and Liz will try to accommodate your food request. Needless to say our family and friends had a great time with agreed by all, some of the best food this side of Italy. |
