Decorated to look like an Irish Pub. Booths and tables. If you sit at the bar, you do not need to be seated by a hostess. Food is pretty general. Hamburgers, steaks, chicken and appatizers.

I've always loved Bennigan's! The ambiance is great! The food is actually very good.......my only complaint would revolve around service. The overall service at ever Bennigan's I've ever visited has been mediocre at best. There tends to be an overabundence of apathetic teenagers with self-identity problems as waitstaff. It doesn't alway make for the most pleasurable of dining experiences. |

I worked here once.
But I quit. And when you look at the menu, you realize there is almost no hint of Irish in it.
Anyways, the food is reliable. They have pretty good wraps. Their crab cakes are pretty good, so is the Spinach Dip. If you're up for a heart attack, try the Monte Cristo. It's a fried ham and cheese sandwish, topped with confectioner's sugar and raspberry dip. You'll probably not eat it all in one sitting (though it can be done).
Service itself, is pretty good, when the waiters aren't too busy. I wouldn't really recommend going Fridays or Saturdays, unless you're there to drink at the bar. |

You get attitude.
I and several of my friends went into Bennigan's for some drinks and food. We sat at the bar. After waiting 10 minutes for one of the bartenders to acknowledge us we ordered drinks and appetizers
I ordered the Potato Skins. My companions ordered the SouthWestern Egg Rolls and Cheese Sticks.
After about 40 minutes our food arrives. The egg rolls were burned and the potato skins had almost no cheese or bacon.
I asked the waitress/bartender if I could get some more cheese and bacon put into my skins. The conversation went as follows.
ME: These skins don't have any bacon or cheese in them. Could you please have the kitchen add more?
Bartender: That will be extra.
ME: No problem.
Bartender: It will take another 15 minutes. The kitchen is busy.
ME: That is fine. (The place was nearly empty. The kitchen could not have been busy). I like them loaded. These things are naked.
Bartender: That is what you get when you order half-price appetizers.
She then flounced off after mumbling some pretty nasty comments under her breath.
About 10 minutes later I got my new order. They were okay. Our drinks had been empty for 20 minutes and she did not come over to offer us more and she ignored us when we tried to get our attention. Eventually another bartender came over and got us another round and brought us our check.
We asked to speak to the manager. The bartender claimed there wasn't one on duty.
I called the manager a few days later to complain. He would have been more concerned with a hangnail.
This place is on my boycott list now. I will never eat there again. |
